Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, April 1st, 2009, Harold Stanford of Old Shop, aged 83 years.
Leaving to mourn are his loving wife and best friend Ida, sons, Irving (Elizabeth) and Reg (Barbara), grandchildren; Scott (Jennifer), Marianne (Craig), Carolyn (Jeff), Nancy (Brad) and Alaina, great grandchildren; Aiden, Gracie, Allyson, Justin and Garry. He is also lovingly remembered by sisters; Inez (Wallace), Gertrude (Jim) and brother, Arch (Florence), sisters-in-law; Bessie and Martha, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Resting at Warren's Funeral Home, Dildo. Visitation for family and friends on Thursday, April 2nd, from 2'965 pm & 7'96930 pm, on Friday, April 3rd, from 2pm '9610pm and on Saturday, April 4th, from 10am-12 noon.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 4th from St. Barnabas Anglican Church in Blaketown at 2pm. Interment to follow at Holy Spirit Cemetery, Old Shop.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Carbonear General Hospital.
