VEY, Harold - Passed peacefully away at his home on Monday, August 13, 2001, in his 82nd year, Harold Vey. Predeceased by his mother and father Herbert and Edna Vey and brother Hayward Vey of Long Beach, T. Bay. He leaves to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 50 years Ivy (nee Adey); three sisters: Vie Hudson, Selena Lundrigan and Gertie Soper all of St. John`s; two brothers-in-law: Frank Adey and Charles (Ida) Adey of Random Island; sister-in-law Annie Vey (wife of the late Hayward Vey who passed away on July 2, 2001 in Victoria, BC). Also leaving to mourn a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell`s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Tuesday, August 14, 2001 from 10 a.m. - 12 noon, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, August 15, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. from The Carnell Memorial Chapel with cremation to follow. A private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation or a charity of one`s choice.
