- Kirby, Doreen (nee Drover) - It is with deep regret that we announce the passing at Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, November 24, 2004, of a dear wife, mother, Nanny, sister, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, niece and dear friend, Doreen Kirby of Bay Roberts, in her 69th year. Predeceased by her mother and father Sarah and Eloil Drover, sister Effie Peddle and daughter-in-law Joyce. Left with fond and loving memories are her husband Lorne, her children Harry (Nancy), Mary (Ernest), Karen, Fred (Kathryn) and Wanda (Peter); grandchildren Stephen, Adam, Ann, Jennifer, Caitlin, David, Geoffrey, Chris and Katie; Uncle Samuel Drover; brothers and sisters Lloyd, Leander (Diane), Harvey (Bernice), Mary (John), Marie (Cecil), Alma (Nelson), Bob (Lucy), Alister (Sandy), Carl (Rick), Randy (Kim), Louise (David); sister-in-law Isabelle Cameron and brother-in-law Fred (Mabel); very special friends Linda Sesk, Jack Bannister, Audrey King and Clare Walker, also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Moore's Funeral Home, Water Street, Bay Roberts, visitation from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday November 27, 2004 at St. Matthews Anglican Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery, Hodges Cove, Trinity Bay at 3 p.m. of the same day. No flowers by request. Donations in her memory may be made to the Newfoundland Chapter of the Canadian Cancer Society, Arthritis Society or a charity of one's choice. - 11/26/04
