CURTIS: It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Loretta Elizabeth Curtis, age 74, from Hatchet Cove, at the LA. Miller Centre, St John's, on July 19, 2008. Predeceased by parents, Eliab and Hilda Blundon; brothers, Ron and Jack; sisters, Clarice and Gladys. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are her husband, Freeman; sons, Eliab (Doris), Terrance (Diane), Paul (Brigitte); daughter, Beverley (Mark) Cook; grandchildren, Steven (Kandis), Matthew, Jenelle, David, Amanda, Jeremy, Mason and Dylan; brother, George and sisters, Mary, Hilda and Laveenie; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at the Anglican Church, Hatchet Cove from where the funeral service officiated by Pastor Glenn Jarvis, assisted by Rev. Nelson Chatman, took place on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, with interment following at the United Church Cemetery, Hatchet Cove. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island.
