  Douglas Baird June 28, 1936 - March 22, 2012 Passed peacefully away at the G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Thursday, March 22, 2012, Douglas Baird of Hodge's Cove. Predeceased by his wife Ivy in September 2011, his guardians George and Sarah Thomas, and four brothers and sisters. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children Audrey Baird (Jerome Tobin), George, and Donna Whalen (Rick), Douglas, Jr. (Jennifer), and Sharlene; grandchildren Matthew, Troy, MacKenzie, Daniel and Sophie; brother Gerald and niece Allison King and family, as well as a large circle of family and friends. Rested at St. Mary's Anglican Church, Hodge's Cove. Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 25, 2012. Officiated by Rev. Jessie Broaders, Deacon Rev. Myrna Vey and lay reader Mr. Jim Peddle. Interment followed at St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery.
