  Moses remained in Bishop's Cove with his mother's brother and family, Moses Barrett and Emma Hennessey, when his parents and brother, Lorenzo, moved to Island Cove, Trinity Bay. He moved to Owen Sound, Ontario in 1891. From 1891 to 1901 Moses is recorded to have lived with Billy Bishop, a WW1 flying ace, as confirmed by the Billy Bishop Foundation. Moses and Emily appear in both the 1901 and 1911 census records for Ontario.
