• Notes

  After the disappearance of his father he started a sawmill operation near Goobies. This was a family affair, as everyone in the family was involved including their mother. Today the group of ponds west of the Five Bays Hotel is still called Churchill's. In later years he operated a confectionary store in St. Johns.
