It is with great sadness that the family of the late Florence Ivany announce her passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Saturday, January 25, 2003 at the age of 79 years. She will be sadly missed by her three sons: Leonard (Irene) Ivany of Kippens, Junior (Mona) Ivany of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Ambrose (Sandy) Ivany of Lakeview, Nova Scotia and two daughters: Joan (Willis) Stuckless of Alton, Ontario, Ethelwyn (Wayne) Fleming of Stephenville and one brother, Fred (Ruth) Parsons of Windsor, and three sisters: Maude Healey, Olive Griffen, both of Windsor, Sade (William) Caravan of Grand Falls and nineteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild, special friend, Violet Young of Twillingate and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Ambrose Ivany and her son, Robert Ivany and brother, Bill Parsons and her parents: George and Julia Parsons. Visitation took place at Russell's Funeral Home, 39 Queen Street, Stephenville on Sunday. Her remains were forwarded to Central Funeral Home, Grand Falls-Windsor for visitation on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, January 28th at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Church in Windsor with interment in the Salvation Army Cemetery in Windsor. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army Building Fund in Stephenville.
