  It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on June 26, 2014, surrounded by his loving family, Edgar Stringer, age 82, from Hodge's Cove. Predeceased by his parents, David Stringer and Hazel Loder; and son, Hedley Thomas. Leaving to mourn his loving wife, Florence; sons, Steve, David, Freeman (Darlene), Graham (Angela), Paul, Avalon (Sabrina), Rusty (Kim); sister, Jane Smith (Moses); grandchildren, Stephanie, Luke, Natasha, Alana, Cole, Liam and Isabella; great grandchildren, Jacob and Cheyenne as well as a large circle of family and friends. Rested at the St. Andrew's United Church, Hodge's Cove, from where the funeral service, officiated by Rev.
