- Passed away in the loving arms of her husband, Jean Pitcher of Carbonear, formerly of Heart's Content, age 71 years. Predeceased by parents Albert and Lydia Langer, infant son Allan, brother Victor Langer, sisters Ethel, Elizabeth, Beatrice and Minnie. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, husband Edgar, Carbonear; son Derek (Audrey) Pitcher, Heart's Content; daughter Jackie (Scott) March, Green's Harbour; grandchildren Holly, Terry, Nicholas and David; sisters Ann Piercey and Gladys Rockwood; sisters-in-law Marina Langer, Clara Porter and Annie Pitcher; brothers-in-law Cecil (Eleanor) Pitcher and Oliver (Shirley) Pitcher; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place at St. Mary's Anglican Church, Heart's Content on Wednesday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary's Church, interment in Heyfield United Cemetery, Heart's Content. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Green's Funeral Home, Winterton.
