It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ivy Rideout announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at the age of 70 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 50 years Austin, sons: Bill (Bernadine), Darrell (Kathy), Byron (Judy), daughters: Valerie (Woody), Evelyn (Todd), nine grandchildren: Matthew, Eric, Neal, Gillian, Christopher, Jeremy, Jenelle, Rodney (Bobbie), Natalie (Adam), two great grandchildren: Sarah & Ryan, mother-in-law Elva Rideout, brothers: Clayton (Evangeline), Norman (Leila), Gerald (Marlene), Raymond (Darlene), sisters: Adelaide (Terry), Barbara (Henry), brothers-in-law: Mervin (Lorraine), Caywood (Dora), Bruce, sisters-in-law: Evelyn, Linda (Wayne), family pet Chrissy as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her parents William & Vera May Vatcher, father-in-law Bruce, brother Oscar, brother-in-law Fred Cake, 2 family pets: Misty & Missy. Ivy had a great passion for her garden, her dogs and especially her family. She was a wonderful grandmother. The family will be receiving friends at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Thursday, January 21, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Memorial service will take place at Salvation Army Citadel, Premier Drive on Friday January 22, 2010 at 2 p.m. with Majors Robert & Cassie Kean officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the SPCA.
