It is with great sadness that the family of the late Nellie Marie Smith announce her passing on Monday July 19th, 2004 at the W.M.R. Hospital in her 70th year. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Mose; two daughters: Gloria (Selby) Hancock of Deer Lake, and Marion (Edward) Kent of St. John's; two granddaughters: Calla of Fort McMurray and Alaina of St. John's; two great grandchildren: Caitlin and Cody; her mother Rita Nichols of Deer Lake; six brothers: Calvin (Edna), Bruce (Alma), Melvin (Grace) all of Deer Lake, Terry (Georgina) of Kitchener, Ivan (Joan) of Deer Lake and Wayne (Donna) of Scarbrough, Ontario; three sisters: Irene (Gar), Sharon (Randy), both of Deer Lake, and Alice of Nebraska. Also a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father Roy Nichols in 1986. Visitation will take place today, Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from Parsons Funeral Home, 63 Northmain Street Deer Lake. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. from the Anglican church in Deer Lake with Rev. Barter officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot on Wights Road. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Parsons Funeral Home, Deer Lake.
