- Stella Violet Piercey Passed on: May 16th, 2008 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stella Piercey announces her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Friday, May 16, 2008 at the age of 77 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her husband of 56 years, John; children: Betty Ann Pike, Glenn Piercey, and Carol Snow all of Corner Brook, Lorne Piercey and Iris Piercey of Halifax; grandchildren: Beth, Elaine, Alicia, Kenneth, David, Megan, Seth and Logan; great-grandchildren: Cara, Jakob, Anna and Anna-Bell; brothers: George Lundrigan and Hayward Lundrigan; sisters: Shirley Cordeor, Mildred Rogers, Marilyn Lundrigan, Joy Coats, Madge Boysen, Cora Stone, Lorraine Tennina, Joan Ryan and Bonnie Lundrigan; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by brothers: Kenneth Lundrigan and William (Bill) Lundrigan; and sister, Cindy. Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Sunday, May 18, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from First United Church, Park Street with Rev. Dr. Wayne Cole officiating. Interment at Townsite Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
