- AVERY, Mabel- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, May 22, 2007, Mabel Avery of Harbour Grace, age 73 years. Predeceased by husband Roy G.; sisters: Margaret, Myra and Brenda; brother Reuben Sparkes. Leaving to mourn one son Bruce (Barb), Carbonear; one daughter Heather (Colin) Clarke, Carbonear; daughter-in-law Catherine Avery, Carbonear; four grandchildren: Matthew, Michael, Katelyn and Devon; two brothers: Harold (Mabel) Linthorne, Owen Sound, ON and Albert (Marilyn) Sparkes, Brigus; three sisters: Frances MacDonald, Harriston, ON, Ruth Janes, Bell Island and Madge (Fred) Churchill, St. John's; brother-in-law Jack Flynn, Brigus; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, HARVEY STREET, HARBOUR GRACE until 12:00 noon Friday, May 25. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from Coughlan United Church and Cemetery, Harbour Grace. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Coughlan United Church, Harbour Grace.
