- It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clementine Smith announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Hospital in Grand Falls-Windsor, on December 1, 2002, at the age of 84. Clementine Smith was a member of the United Church Womens Association. Mrs. Smith retired from South & Central Health Foundation. Predeceased by parents, sister Mae, brothers Don, Max, Baxter and sister-in-law Lillian. Left with fond and loving memories are husband Azaniah and daughter Edna of Grand Falls- Windsor, NL. Also leaving to mourn brother Ross (Mary), sisters- in-law Veta and Mary; nieces and nephews cousins and a large circle of relatives and friends. Rev. Bill Ford conducted the funeral service at the Memorial United Church on December 4, 2002. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Walter Critchley, Ray Critchley, Vince Christian, Les White, Wilf Roberts, Geo Piercey. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Shawn Tizzard of Central Funeral Homes.
