- BLUNDELL- Lilah Ann, age 95, passed peacefully away at the Dr. G.B.Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on February 13, 2016. Lilah married William George, better known as Willy George, in 1940. They had one son, Heber. She helped run a store on the other side of the harbour until Heber was 11 years old. It was known as the store to find whatever you couldn't find anywhere else. Not only did she run a store, but she was the seamstress for many people including locals and weddings, sails for sailboats, and never followed a pattern. She was a wedding cake decorator, organist, member of the Home League, and LOBA. She has knitted hundreds of mittens and socks. For nearly eight years she resided at Miraquinn Hilltop Manor and will be sadly missed.
