  RODGERS, Hubert - 83 of Pool's Island Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander. Predeceased by parents John James and Angelina; wife Florence (nee Butt); brother Edward; sister Marie and son Clyde. Left to mourn are sons Bert and Wayne of N.W.T., Curtis (Betty) of Manitoba, Scott of Ontario and Douglas of NL; daughters Vivian, Frances (Jack), Cindy, Florence (Todd), Gail (John) and Denise (Stephen) all of Ontario, Kimberly and Annie (Meryl) of NL; 36 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Sylvia of Alberta; sisters Alice Hoyles, Fanny Janes and Vera Blackwood (Fred) all of NL and a large circle of other family and friends. Funeral service took place on Thursday, February 12, from St. Mary's Anglican Church, Hodge's Cove with Rev. N. Chatman officiating. Interment followed from St. Mary's Anglican cemetery, Hodge's Cove. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home, PoundCove/Musgrave Harbour.
