- Passed peacefully away Jan. 5, 1992, Daisy Geraldine Pearl Nicholas (nee Smith) at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center, age 56 of Grand Falls-Windsor. She was predeceased by her father Luther Smith Aug. 5, 1981.
Left to mourn husband Harrison; sons: Eddie (wife Sandra) of Scarborough, Ontario; Gary (wife Sandra) of Waterloo, Ontario; Tony (wife Adrienne) of Grand Falls-Windsor; daughters: Fern (husband Vince Snow) of Grand Falls-Windsor; Faye (husband Frazer Sheppard) of Grand Falls-Windsor; Penny (husband Wilf Tizzard) of Adjax, Ontario; Holly (husband Tom Smith) of Oshawa, Ontario; mother Mrs. Louise Smith; sisters: Shirley (husband Frank Snow) of Grand Falls-Windsor; Ruby (husband William Hynes) of Paradise, Newfoundland; brother: Gordon (wife Geraldine) of Grand Falls-Windsor; also 17 grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends.
Funeral service was conducted by Pastor G. Dawe, Pastor Peddle and Major Stride at the Windsor Pentecostal Church, Grand Falls-Windsor, on January 8 at 2 p.m.
Interment was at the Windsor Pentecostal Cemetery, Caribou Road, in Grand Falls-Windsor. Funeral arrangements by Cecil Elliott, Central Funeral Homes. Pallbearers were Eddie Nicholas, Gary Nicholas, Tony Nicholas, Barry Nicholas, Vincent Snow, Franzer Sheppard. No flowers by request. Donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Gideon Bibles.
