- Barfett, Alice (nee Churchill) - Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on August 15th, 2016, Alice Barfett in her 86th year. Predeceased by her husband George; parents, John and Elizabeth Churchill; sisters: Minnie Churchill, Beatrice Porter and Dot Spurrell; brothers: Clayton, Caleb, George and Ken Churchill; sister-in-law, Blanche Mercer; brother-in-law, Edgar Barfett. Leaving to mourn, cherished daughter, Anne; special cousin and friend Marjorie Frampton; sister-in-law Yvonne Churchill; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place at Alice's request. There is no visitation. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, August 17th, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice's memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation or to Newfoundland Search Dogs.
