  SMITH, Mary Ann (Mamie) (Vey) \endash Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, January 9, 2007, Mamie Smith, age 93 years, of St. John's. Predeceased by her parents, George and Charlotte Fanny (King) Vey; husband Samuel Smith (1967); infant son Samuel (Junior) (1946) and brothers: John, Theodore, Eric, Malcolm, Douglas. Leaving to mourn daughters: Shirley (Garland) Jennings and Faye Smith; sons: Clayton (Julia), Douglas (Gloria), Edmonton, Alberta and Calvin (Loretta); sisters: Susie Parsons and Ethel Thomas; sisters-in-law: Minnie Vaters and Margaret Smith; grandchildren: Garland Jennings (Jennifer Jeans), Wanda (Morley) Garrett, Andrew Smith, Craig (Stephanie) Smith, Colleen Smith (Kenneth Walsh), Darryl Smith, Christine Smith (Ryan Anzew), Stephanie Smith, Gillian Smith and Kristen Smith; great-grandchildren: Ann, Jonathan, Lisa, Colten and Julia; and many other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral service will be held from St. Thomas Anglican Church, Military Road on Friday, January 12, 2007 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at The Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road.
