George T Dodge, 62, of Louisville, passed away peacefully, with family at his side Thursday March 27, 2008, at his home. He was a native of Allen Park, MI. He was a retired agent for State Farm Insurance Company with over 35 years of service, certified CLU, ChFC and LUTC. He was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, where he lettered in swimming. He was a member of Swim Louisville Masters, St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church and was an Honorary KY Colonel. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Dodge and Laura Sobota. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathleen Stiles Dodge; two sons, Mark ( Kirsten) and Thomas Dodge (his fiance, Zarifa Rasool); a daughter, Anne Simpson (Grant); a brother, Robert Dodge (Patricia); a sister, Dolores Reese (James); and five grandchildren, Hudson and Luke Dodge, and Elizabeth, Hunter and Grace Simpson. His funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, 2119 Payne St., with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Ratterman's, 3711 Lexington Road. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Louisville or American Cancer Society.
