  Howard died on 27 August 2008. His obituary was printed in The Packet: It is with great sadness that the family of Howard announces his passing at the Dr G.B. Cross Hospital, Clarenville on Wednesday August 27,2008 at the age of 62 years. Leaving with fond memories his wife Doris of 40 years, two sons; Shawn (Tanya) & Ralph, brothers; Robert (Hazel), Lawrence (Myrna), Everett (Dorothy), sister; Frances (Bill), special grandchild Emma, also a large circle of relatives and friends. Memorial service was held on Saturday August 31, 2008 at the Anglican Church in Long Beach.
