- Stanford, Ruby (Nee Sainsbury)- June 8th, 1930 - July 12th, 2008. Past peacefully away after a two week battle with cancer in the loving arms of her son and daughter-in-law on 4 west at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, Ruby Stanford. Predeceased by her parents Frank and Daisy Sainsbury, sister-in-law Joan Sainsbury; brothers-in-law Albert Corrigan and Pat Dunne. Leaving to mourn her husband and best friend of 58 years, Reginald; her only son Don and her two precious grandsons, who meant everything to her, Donny (Shelley Goodyear) and Stephen; daughter-in-law Lori (Kearsey); sister and best friend Ella Dunne; two brothers Frank and Russell Sainsbury; brothers-in-law George Stanford (Jennie) and Ron Stanford (Stella); sisters-in-law Dorothy Cole (Jim), Phyllis Corrigan and Helen Bugler (Clayton); as well as a number of nieces, nephews and large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Monday and Tuesday from 2 - 9 p.m. Funeral service from St. Thomas Anglican Church at 2 pm on Wednesday, July 16th, 2008. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Rd. As expressions of sympathy flowers are being gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Dr. H.
