  Passed peacefully away at Glenbrook Lodge on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010. Emily Greta Spurrell aged 93 years. Predeceased by her husband Sam Spurrell, daughter Judy, sister Priscilla Chislett of Islington, and brothers: Bill and Sidney Worthman of Heart's Delight. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children: Tom (Bonnie), Patricia (Ed), Herb (Ada), Levine (Geoff), Juanita, Diane (Jim), Dave (Barbara), Jim, Linda (Garry), Joan (Terry), along with her brother Herb (Ellen) Worthman of Heart's Delight; sisters: Jane (Baxter) Pynn of St. Anthony, Sadie Banton of Halifax, Marie (Charlie) Blackwood of C.B.S.; sisters-in-law: Jennie Worthman and Edith Worthman of Heart's Delight; as well as her 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Monday, Oct. 25, from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 26, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from Barrett's Chapel on Wednesday, Oct. 27 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one's choice.
