Description	Caleb Peddle moved with his family to Hodge’s Cove a year or two before his brother John, probably in 1866. He owned a 65 ton schooner named Laburnum built in 1879. It was lost at sea a couple of years later and the registry closed in 1886. Caleb was a fisherman, but also played a part in the building a number of boats and schooners.
