  Passed peacefully at the Dr. G.B. Cross Hospital in Clarenville on July 22, 2000 Solomon Strowbridge of Clarenville, in his 87th year. Predeceased by his daughter Amelia, 1944, brother Fredrick, 1999. Left with fond and loving memories, his wife Gertie, of 60 years; seven sons: Wilson (Sylvia), Brampton, Ont., Cyril (Glenys), Queens Cove, Clarence (Nellie), Pasadena, Everett (Sandra), Brampton, Ont., Max, Toronto, Ont., Raymond (Bonnie), Clarenville, Rex (Donna), Random Island; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a large number of relatives and friends. Resting at Fewer`s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at St. Mary`s Anglican Church, Clarenville with the interment at the Interdenominational Cemetery. In his memory, a Memorial Fund to the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital C.A.T. Scan Unit.
