- Mary Jane Dodge (Smith)...Passed peacefully away at the Holyes Home on Monday, April 17, 1989, after a lengthy illness, Mrs. Mary Jane Dodge of Little Heart's Ease, aged 83 years 5 months. Leaving to mourn one son Everett Drodge (wife Selina) of Little Heart's Ease; three daughters: Marcie (husband Eli Spurrell) of Clarenville; Alma (husband Fred Whalen) of Caplin Cove; and Florence Dodge of Clarenville; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Moses Smith of Clarenville and Abram Smith of Little Heart's Ease; also a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral service took place on Wednesday, April 19, at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Little Heart's Ease. In lieu of flowers, donations were made to the Hoyles Home.
