  According to his naturalizatio paper, he was 5'4" tall, 135 lbs, with light brown hair and brown eyes in 1923 Passed peacefully away on Sunday, March 20, 1988, Frank Barfitt, aged 86 years, formerly of Monmouth Junction, New Jersey. Left with many fond memories his wife Annie (nee Quinton); brothers: Captain George Barfitt of St. John's, Alex Barfitt of Brooklyn, New York, Clarence Vey of New Jersey, Raymond Vey of St. John's and Petley Vey of California; sisters: Delphine Clarke of Saint John, N.B., Katie Kirby of Milford Station, N.S., Vera Ellis of New Jersey and Hilda Andrews of St. John's. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue. Funeral service Tuesday, March 22 at 2:30 p.m.. from St. Michael's Anglican Church. Interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
