- Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, Emma J. Drodge of Caplin Cove, aged 86 years and 11 months. Predeceased by husband Clifford; parents Alfred and Sarah Avery; sister Emily Pitcher (Luke); brothers Chester (Yvonne), Wilson; sister-in-law Daphne Young; brothers-in-law William Drodge, Ray Squires and Stan Drodge. Left with fond and loving memories her sister Eva Best (Noah); sisters-in-law Rachel Drodge, Ann Squires, Audrey Drodge; brother-in-law Calvin Young; niece Christine (Howard Stringer) and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Fewer's Funeral Home, Little Heart's Ease on Sunday, December 25, 2016 from 3-9 pm and on Monday, December 26, 2016 from 10 am - 9 pm. Funeral service will take place 2 pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Wesley United Church with interment United Cemetery, Caplin Cove. In her memory flowers accepted or donations to Wesley United Church, Caplin Cove.
