- Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, Leonard Vey of Long Beach, age 67 years. Predeceased by grandson Hayden Stanley; father Douglas Vey; parents-in-law Ella and Simeon Stringer. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Ollie, of 48 years; daughters Jennifer (Colin Rideout) and Joy (Mike Ryan); son Junior (Claudette); grandchildren Jonathan (Joanne) Rideout, Kyle Ryan; Brittney Vey; Amy Ryan (Dominic) and Nicholas Vey; great grandchild Skyler Ricketts; his mother Minnie Vaters; sister Sylvia (Merlin) Sinclair; brothers Keith, George (Bonnie), Bruce (Elsie); sisters-in-law Christine (Kevin) Lambert, Elaine (Darrell) Smith, Wanda (Leslie) Seward, Arlene (Earl) Kelly and Crystal Newell (Tony); many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
