They were married on Dec.14, 1914, in the Anglican cathedral in St. John's, Nfld. and have lived in Toronto since 1950. Mrs. Barfett is the former Delsi Ada Vey of Long Beach, Nfld. Mr. Barfett is a retired fisherman and carpenter and was a lay reader in the St. Mark's Anglican church in Long Beach for over 40 years. He now attends St. Mark's Anglican church. They have eight children: Rita; Mrs. Warren (Drusilla) Astle, Montreal; Mrs. Norman (Netta) Duffett, St. John's; Mrs. William (Mary) Newell; Hector, St. John's; Stewart, Warren, and Keith. there are 15 grandchildren.
