Harold will be greatly missed by his brothers and sister: Stanley (Madeline), William (Deborah) and Elaine (David) Noftall. Harold attended Holy Cross and was a retired employee of Ultramar. Born in St. John's on March 25, 1929 to Doris and Alfred Bonner, Audrey was the youngest child who prematurely lost her beloved brothers: Eric in 1937 and Gerald in 1971. She attended Bishop Spencer College, Memorial College and Acadia University. She cared for her aging parents and her own family and also worked for MCP prior to retirement. Audrey was much loved and cherished by her surviving family which includes: her children: Allynne (Dr. Gordon Jones) in Palm Coast, Florida, Karen (Bert Scheepers) in Delta, Ont. and Eric (Marie Walsh) in Mount Pearl; her precious niece Eleanor (Larry Maisonneuve) in Ottawa; her grandchildren: Andrea Totten (Kyle) in Palm Coast, Dr. Christopher Jones in Philadelphia, Timothy Jones (fiance Estrella) in Boston; Andrew, Luke, Benjamin and Liam Coombs in Mount Pearl, and her special grandnephew Kyle Maisonneuve in Ottawa. Audrey was predeceased by her beloved husband Lester (Ghandi) Coombs in 2004 with whom she shared over 50 years of happy marriage. Upon retirement they summered in St. John's and wintered in Ft. | 3093 | Posted: Wednesday, May 14, 2014 12:00 pm Michael L. Mecheski, 57, a lifelong resident of Hinsdale, died May 10, 2014, in the comfort of his home. He was born in Brattleboro Nov. 17, 1956, son of the late Margaret (Momaney) Mecheski and Richard Mecheski. He was educated in Hinsdale and received his general educational development degree (G.E.D.). Mr. Mecheski worked for many years at the Gatton Weeks Paper Co., where he was employed as a machine operator. He also worked at Beaman Lumber, Five Acre Farm and Cersosimo Lumber Co. He was a man of faith. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially while working in his vegetable and flower gardens. He was a great cook and enjoyed sharing his creations with family and friends. He liked to hunt and fish. He was also very mechanically handy with repairing cars. He had a big heart and a soft spot for all types of animals. When time permitted he enjoyed vacationing with family at the beach. Survivors include his daughter, Roxanne L. Mecheski of Northfield, Mass.; his siblings and their spouses, Carol Clerc and her husband, Bruce, of North Adams, Mass., Joseph A. Mecheski of Hinsdale, Richard Mecheski and his wife, Cathy, of Swanzey and John Mecheski and his wife, Holly, of Windsor; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. His son Douglas L. Mecheski passed away May 24, 1998. A mass with Christian burial rites will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, Main Street, Hinsdale. Burial will follow in the family lot at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Meeting House Road, Hinsdale.
